Those of us who are fortunate enough to call Burleson community home may be away of various civic and service organizations, churches and individuals who provide various community services. Some of these "givers" are well known and others are working diligently in the background. They are not seeking publicity for themselves but for the benefit of others who are in need of a helping hand, a friend, some encouragement or maybe a smile and a big hug! One of the less-known of these "silent" entities is Crazy8 Ministries! Like many others, I wasn't aware of this wonderful group of dedicated Christians who are serving in so many ways until I met Lisa Schwarz. As a member of the Burleson Independent School District Board of Trustees, I also serve on the Character Council... (click on Pat's name to read the full text)

I know few people who have a greater love for God and a passion to see people fall in love with Him than Lisa. That is relfected in her love for her husband and their passion to raising their kids to love Jesus. As a youth pastor who has had the opportunity to work along side her in impacting students, I have seen first hand that love and passion poured out through her ability to speak. But more importantly, her ability to listen and love people where they are at in their spiritual journey. Out of the overflow of your heart the mouth speaks. Lisa's heart overflows with a love for God.

God has gifted Lisa with the ability to instantly connect with the hearts of women of all ages. Lisa is able to take the core of the message God has given her and adapt her presentation to the specific groups she interacts with. It is evident that Lisa has a passion for ministering to young girls and women for the glory of God.

-Stephen Smotherman. Youth Pastor

I was truly thankful for Lisa's willingness to drop everything for a weekend and come to pour into us as the women on Marquette's campus. I appreciated her coming and opening up to us so we could listen and benefit from the beautiful message of God's love for us. Amazing! Most of all, I loved seeing her heart and how it has been truly transformed by God's grace. Her faith is REAL and her passion for the Lord is evident, both are very inspiring.

-Laura Paquet, College Student

Lisa's love for the Lord overflows out of her heart. She didn't just drip milk into our mouths, she gave us some serious stuff that we needed to hear. The scriptures that she used showed that she knew what she was talking about. The message itself really spoke to me. It let me know that I am good enough and I need to stop measuring myself against the standards of the world because I will never measure up to them. I also loved how she talked about God loving us first. Lisa's heart is clearly on fire for God in a way that I can't even fathom. I pray that God will continue to use her and the amazing ability of speaking He has given her to do awesome things for His Kingdom!
